something more.

i've decided to participate in E100.
it was a decision i made last night, i randomly decided to try it and see how it went.
i wasnt going to set my sights too high.
i always do that, and then let myself down and feel as though i've disappointed god.
so i just decided to take it one day at a time,
to read and let his presence take over and allow me to learn what he has in store for me.

i have never been so interested in the bible before.

the series starts in genesis.
and ill be honest, it has never stuck a cord with me before.
its never really given me any insight.
really and truly, it has always bored me.
i have tried to read the bible through many times and every time i just decide to skip to psalms, cause those first few books seem so pointless.

as of last night, i stand corrected.
it was like a story.
it was a page turner.
i wanted to know what happened to the man and woman he created.
i was let down when they ate the apple.
i was into it.
and that excites me. i've never been interested in the bible before. its always been like a text book to me: big and boring.
but last night something changed, it became something more.
it became this enthralling story of a god who created this world and these people and how he reveals himself to them and shows them his incredible love.
last night i closed my bible wanting more.
and i loved that feeling.
